Indie Pop, R&B/Soul, Electronic
There is a new voice rising from Toronto. Emerging from the scene that gave rise to DVSN and Majid Jordan, Freddie Future brings forward a fresh collision of indie pop and R n’ B that pulses with the funky heartbeat of city living. On his debut self-titled EP, Freddie breathes life into classic pop tropes of romance and heartbreak while driving lyricism and musicality in a direction few dare to take. His debut EP cements the evolution of an artist who’s honed his craft for years; Freddie Future isn’t from there, but he’s got his sights set on it. Freddie Future's debut album released in July 2019 on Physical Presents, an imprint label at Universal Music, via Cadence Music, received critical acclaim from over 50 music blogs and 25+ user playlists including SuicideSheeep (1.3M subscribers), and was featured on Spotify’s Fresh Finds playlists, Just Vibing, Outliers and New Music Friday Canada and have garnered Apple Music & Spotify Swipe up coverage as well as being named one of Apple Music's Hot Canadian Releases. Freddie Future's Toronto EP release show was sold out and he's performed a special show at the Toronto International Film Festival. His Remix EP was released this January, including a remix for his track 'Too Heavy,' from Toronto based trio, New City, who have surpassed 35M streams and 2 Gold singles in Canada, as well as a remix for his track ‘Julia’ from Juno nominated producer Harrison.
